Contactor is an automatic electromagnetic switch primarily used for frequently connecting or disconnecting AC/DC main circuits and high-capacity control circuits over long distances. It is widely used in electric drive systems, industrial automation control, building electrical systems, and other applications, serving as a core component for controlling loads such as motors, electric heaters, and lighting systems.
Core Functions:
1. Automatic On/Off: Magnetic force is generated by energizing an electromagnetic coil, driving the contacts to close or open.
2. Remote Control: Can be remotely operated via buttons, PLCs, relays, etc.
3. High Current Control: Capable of safely controlling high-current loads of hundreds of amperes.
4. Frequent Operation: Designed for frequent starts and stops, with a long lifespan (typically up to one million operations).
WC2 series AC Contactor with novel appearance and compact structure is suitable for using starting & controlling the AC motor frequently, switching on and off the circuit at a long distance. It is used in combination with thermal relay to compose a magnetic motor starter. Standard: IEC 60947-4-1.
